Message 1

"You cannot execute a query using the "Display Email Body" field - (SBL-DAT-00401)"
Thanks,
Message 2
Steps to reproduce:1) Go to SiteMap > Communications > choose any message > Body tab
View: Inbound Item Body View
Applets: Applet[0]: Comm Inbound Item List Applet; Applet[1]: Comm Inbound Item Body Applet;
2) Hit Query button, then hit Query Assistant button > use field ‘Message Body’
Querying for this specific field will through the message
You cannot execute a query using the 'Display Email Body' field.(SBL-DAT-00401)
Resolution:
That is not an error. That is expected. The field 'Display Email Body’ is a calculated field.
The system will show that message because the field that is being used is a calculated field with no calculation expression. The field 'Display Email Body' is in a way is specialized, internal codes uses this field to show the entire message body.
To search the body, you will have to use the Comments field.

Symptoms
SBL-DAT-00401, SBL-DBC-00108We has configured a long Field on Service Request BC. This field is mapped on SR Description. In
several applets, this field appears. When the user make a simple query (Query button) on SR
Description field, the following message occurs : "You cannot execute a query using the
'Description' field.(SBL-DAT-00401)".
It is a standard Siebel message, as the SR Description
is based on a Long type column.
However, when the user make a query via Query Assistant on
SR Description, another message occurs :
"
[1]An error has occured preparing a Sql
statement.
Please continue or ask systems administrator to check your application
configuration if the problem persists.(SBL-DBC-00108)
[2]ORA-0032:inconsitent
datatypes
"
Users are not satisfied with this message and want the standard Siebel
message.
So, do you know why the standard Siebel message is not displayed when the Query
Assistant is not used ?
Best Regards,
Solution

For the benefit of other users,Following response was given to the customer:
With further research, Siebel Technical Support found Change Request # 12-F07VSZ has been already logged to address this behavior as a Product Defect where Query and Query Assistant button do not display same message for same query and error.
In short, query and query assistant will display different message because this is comes as a built-in functionality and hence the CR has been logged.
