Symptoms

When we associate the Highinteractivity property to a product and modify the base product, group, and group item theme to work with the new HI templates, we try to validate the product and now we have a validation that is executed directly without giving the user the posibility to see the view for configuring the product with HI.

this rule is defined with a script that you will find in the attached document.

without the HI, when we validate the product, we have the first the possibility to configure the product in a new view, and the validation is executed.

the message we received has the following log codes SBL-EXL-00151, SBL-CFG- 00101.

The behavior described above was reproduced in standard Siebel, where for a HI UI (high Interactivity) customizable product, the Cfg_InstPostSynchroniza event fires when you select the Validate button in Product Administration. This was determined to be a product defect and Change Request 12-ODJGOZ has been raised to address it. This event is supposed to fire when you select the Done button in the eConfigurator selection page. (Please examine BookShlef > Product Administration Guide > Customizable Product Scripts > Cfg_InstPostSynchronize Event). Thus for standard interactivity customizable product, when you validate, this event does not fire and when you select the Done button then it fires correctly.
