Hello Supportweb,

We are having problems with SADMIN’s views visibility. When connected with SADMIN login in thin client we have no access at views that are in one or more SADMIN's responsibilities with Local Access Flag = N.
When clicking in User Preferences we received the SBL-DAT-00330 error. When trying to access one of the views we have lost (with SWE GotoView) we received the same error.
I know that Local Access has no impact in visibility when connected with thin client, and our Test environment proves it, but when SADMIN is deleted from positions which have Local Access Flag = N for the "User Profile Default View" he recovers the visibility and the view is accessible.

Based on some analysis, it was found that the parameter 'DSDockedFlg' was set to 'False' for the 'ServerDataSrc' named subsystem.
Please note that the correct setting should be "TRUE".

As an incorrect value for the 'DSDockedFlg' introduced a behaviour that made the Web client virtually indistinguishable from a Mobile Client, CR #12-YRG2P9 has been logged as a Document Enhancement Request.

Siebel eSales v7.5.2.215 (There might be a later patch added). IE is the browser.

We are running into a problem in the AV eSales application. There is an eAdvisor application which is launched as expected from the eSales homepage. Once in eAdvisor the user navigates through the eAdvisor application eventually they decide to save their eAdvisor session. The user clicks on a custom button to exit eAdvisor. The button calls the delivered eAdvisor function AddtoSSCart (see “GS_TOP Result Page.doc” for the result page I have bolded the areas to look at). The AddtoSSCart saves out a linked product to the shopping cart. That portion works fine meaning, the product is actually written to the cart. However, when eAdvisor tries to set focus back to Siebel eSales to the shopping cart view we get an error (see file “Error on Current Quote View.doc”). Now the eSales Shopping Cart view “Current Quote View (eSales)” has been replaced by “AV BT Punchout Current Quote View (eSales)” in the eSales application. Also, the Object manager parameters, the CFG file both have been changed to refer to the new view. However, the AddtoSSCart function seems to ignore this and always calls the delivered view. The delivered view has been inactivated because the client is using a custom view.

For the benefit of the readers, the customer created a custom eSales application. From this application the eAdvisor can be launched. The customer configured a custom button in eAdvisor that calls the function AddtoSSCart to save the linked product to the shopping cart and exit eAdvisor. If the user clicked the button, the product was added to the shopping cart, however, when eAdvisor tried to set focus back to the custom eSales - shopping cart view, they got an error saying:

View “Current Quote View (eSales)” cannot be accessed either because user ‘SADMIN’ does not have proper responsibility or at least one of your responsibilities ahs local access set to false for this view.

The customer replaced the “Current Quote View (eSales)” view by a custom one. They also changed the Object manager parameters and the CFG file.

Resolution

The customer resolved this behavior by adding the “Complex Product Runtime Instance View - Shopping Cart” to their custom eSales application.
