Symptoms

Currently, if a user has two positions, personalization can be defined (using profile attributes which are defined based on position) so that views in a screen are available to one position, but not the other. However, if you change position, the application does not refresh the Screen tabs to reflect that some screens are not now available. Upon clicking on the screen tab the user gets the message “Personalization rules for user '<user>' exclude accessibility of view '<view name>'.(SBL-DAT-00328)”.

Cause

It is currently not possible to get the screen tabs to refresh when you change position. The available screen tabs are determined when the application starts and are not re-calculated when you change position.

Solution

The Change Request Enhancement 12-VA9A3C has been raised to force the application to refresh the screen tabs to reflect personalization correctly on Change of Position.
