Symptoms
SBL-UIF-00299, SBL-DAT-00293, SBL-DAT-00294Account Screen / Contacts Child Tab - unable to add a new address for a newly added contact
We are able to add a new address for a company via the Parent "Account List View" (SIS Account List Applett), "Business Street Address" Field. The Field uses the "Account Address MVG Applett" and works fine.
The Child, "SIS Account Entry Applet", uses the same "Account Address MVG Applet" as the Parent...but fails. The below error message is being presented on the UI:
1. Wrong Field Value Types detected in the field Street Address. Please re-enter your field values.
2. Pick Map is Empty for field "Street Address" of business component "CUT Address".
I will continue to look at the problem and would appreciate assistance, please advise...thanks!

PART1:For the benefit of others
ISSUE: User is able to add new addresses for an Account from the Account Entry Applet(Form) by drilling down the MVG on the Address field. This MVG uses the “Account Address Mvg Applet” and "Com Address Assoc Applet" shuttle applet.
But when the user tries to add a new address from the Contact List applet by drilling down through the Address MVG field (also using the same “Account Address Mvg Applet”), when the user enters the Address Line1 field, an error message is displayed.
Error message:
[1] Wrong field values or value types detected in field Street Address. Please re-enter your field values. If you need additional assistance, please refer to the documentation.
[2] Pick Map is empty for field 'Street Address' of business component 'CUT Address'. Please ask your system administrator to check your application configuration.

Part 2:RESOLUTION:
This is a defect that has been identified recently. The defect# is 12-H3186J. This is currently open and being triaged.
WORKAROUND:
Currently the workaround for this issue is to create / modify the Addresses through the Account Form applet instead of the Contact list applet. The customer managed to do this by copying and modifying the applet and deactivating the New button on the MVG. Also it was suggested that he makes the Address Field on this MVG read only so that user does not try modiy this field (which will also result in the same error message.
Thanks,
Siebel Technical Support
